The prompt given by the official NaPoWriMo site: Write a poem about something mysterious and spooky.
Well, I did warn about a few poems being bad. Now here is the worst of the deal. Well but, do pardon me for I am chasing across a dearth of time, estranged from my creative capability.
NOTHING MORE IS A MYSTERY
When a host of waves throttle the mind,
a call of silence rings.
A silence so pervading strong,
as though the ocean’s died
Pray, what verses now do I yield?
Silence has stripped me bare.
Fumbling for a feeling I,
stumble upon no muse.
It’s ironic, when so much to feel
exists inside the heart,
not a word unhesitant falls,
from its fettering numbness.
It’s scary how it doesn’t scare me-
my unabsorbing clockwork living
maybe, nothing more is a mystery
to the mind that has ceased to think.
I am inviting you all to join me in this venture. Use the prompt given above to craft your own verses.
And oh, be sure to tag me.
